PARENTS/LEGAL GUARDIANS

  1. I will cheer positively for my child and the team regardless of the outcome of the game from the opposite sidelines, per youth lacrosse rules.
  2. I will respect all players, coaches, officials and spectators at every lacrosse game, practice or other sporting event.
  3. I will teach my child that doing one's best is more important than winning. Although winning and competition will be encouraged, youth lacrosse is designed to provide the fundamentals of lacrosse and teach sportsmanship.
  4. My child is participating to have fun, not for my enjoyment.
  5. I will leave coaching to the coaches and never yell at a player or coach for making a mistake or losing a competition.
  6. I will not approach coaches immediately before, during or immediately after lacrosse games to discuss any issues or complaints I may have regarding my player. I will wait at least 24 hours after a game and schedule time away from the field to discuss those matters privately with the coach.
  7. I believe that the coaches are doing their best at being a good instructor and positive role model for their team.
  8. I understand that Referees are not professionals and believe that they are doing their best to call a fair game.
  9. I will no address any referee in a demeaning fashion before, during or after the game.
  10. I understand the referee has the authority to remove any player, spectator, or coach from the game or field and will abide by all calls and warnings from the referee.
